Sharon Young
Sharon received her undergraduate degree at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, majoring in English, then completed a Master's Degree in English from San Diego State University.  After college, Sharon worked as an Executive Assistant and Manager of two Biology Journals for Elsevier, the world's largest scientific publisher.  Sharon joined UCSD in 2008,  working as a Faculty Assistant for several prominent scientists in the Division of Biological Sciences before joining our group. Sharon's current responsibilities include administrative coordination in support of the laboratory research program, its grant and manuscript submissions, educational outreach, and our activities in the broader Division of Pediatric Pharmacology & Drug Discovery.

Sharon also serves as the Administrator for the NIH/NICHD-Funded Center for Research in Pediatric & Developmental Pharmacology (RPDP) and Administrative Assistant for the upcoming UCSD Health Sciences Center for Immunity, Infection & Inflammation.
